Things to Do at Xinglong Lake
Hiking
Visit the Tea Culture Garden (Yongchuan Xiuya tea displays) and Fashion Harbor (dragon-themed reliefs and light installations). Spring brings cherry blossoms, while autumn turns ginkgoes golden. Early mornings (6–8 AM) often spot egrets on the central island.
Cycling
Follow the 3.5km lakeside trail with a glowing night track section. Rent shared bikes to breeze past gardens. Don’t miss the Rainbow Glass Plank Road and the Heart Lake Arch Bridge (perfect for reflection shots).
Entertainment
The East Area Free Children’s Playground has slides and climbing frames.
You can also rent Hanfu (≈30 RMB/hour) for ancient-style photos by the lake and pavilions.
Camping
The vast lawns at the East Area Free Children’s Playground are permitted for picnics and tenting (shared green space).
Boating
Rent a paddle boat or electric boat at the waterfront pier to enjoy the calm water and skyline views up close.

Yongchuan Xinglong Lake park is a pet-friendly park.
Pets and domestic animals must be on a leash at all times. You are responsible for their behaviour and must dispose of their excrement.

Most are equipped with handwashing facilities and toilet paper.

- Multiple public fitness stations with equipment like parallel bars, sit-up benches, and leg press machines, scattered around the park.
- Large paved plazas for basketball, badminton, square dancing, and group activities.
- A free, dedicated area with slides, climbing frames, and swings in the East Area.
- Numerous covered pavilions, benches, and shaded rest areas along the trails for resting and shelter from sun/rain.
Accessibility
- The main lakeside trail and plazas are flat and paved, with ramps at entrances and key intersections.
- At least one accessible toilet (with handrails and wider doors) in each main restroom block.
- Clear directional signs in both Chinese and English for key facilities.
